Bocomal FR Garment Care Instructions

To help maintain the comfort, appearance, and flame-resistant performance of Bocomal FR garments, please follow the care guidelines below. Always refer to the garment’s care label for the most specific instructions applicable to your product.

01 Machine Washing

Wash using the Normal/Cotton cycle. Avoid mixing with heavily soiled or abrasive garments to reduce wear and contamination.

02 Water Temperature

Machine wash in water not exceeding 140 Β°F (60 Β°C).

03 Detergents

Use a standard liquid laundry detergent. Do not useΒ chlorine bleach, oxygen bleach, fabric softeners, starch, or soaps containing animal fats, as these substances may compromise flame resistance by leaving flammable residues or damaging protective treatments. The use of soft waterΒ is recommended to reduce mineral buildup and improve cleaning effectiveness.

04 Garment Loading and Preparation

Turn garments inside outΒ prior to washing to minimize surface abrasion and fading. Do not overload the washer; recommended load capacity is no more than two-thirds full, with sufficient water level to ensure proper cleaning.

05 Stain Treatment

For garments contaminated with oils, heavy soils, or flammable substances, pre-soak or use a pre-treatmentΒ before washing. If contaminants cannot be fully removed, dry cleaningΒ may be considered.

06 Drying and Ironing

Tumble dry at low heat. Do not over-dry, as excessive heat may reduce garment life and impact flame resistance. If ironing is necessary, use a low-temperature setting. Avoid high heat.

07 Restricted Chemicals and Substances

To maintain flame-resistant performance, do not use or expose garments to: Chlorine bleach or oxygen-based bleach. Fabric softeners or dryer sheets. Soaps high in animal fats. Starch. DEET-based insect repellents. Any other flammable or combustible substances

08 Garment Service Life Statement

Flame-resistant (FR) performance is not permanent and may diminish over time. Even when care instructions are followed, factors such as wear, abrasion, UV exposure, chemical contamination, and laundering cycles can reduce protective properties. In accordance with NFPA 2112 guidelines, FR garments must be removed from service if they become excessively worn, torn, contaminated with flammable substances, or otherwise unfit for use. The useful life of the garment will vary depending on the conditions of use and frequency of laundering. Always inspect garments before each use and replace them as needed.

⚠️ Important Notice

Failure to follow these care instructions may reduce the protective performance of the garment. Flame-resistant clothing is designed to provide limited protection against short-term thermal exposures and should always be used in conjunction with established workplace safety practices and standards.
